Our ideal candidate will oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance services, manage process automation, and uphold workplace health and safety standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing maintenance schedules to ensure plant reliability and efficiency;
- Developing and implementing capital works projects aligned with production needs;
- Upholding WHS standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies through proactive monitoring and contractor management;
- Supervising technical staff, providing training, and optimising labour resources and overtime usage;
- Assisting in the hiring and training of new employees to ensure smooth integration and skill development;
- Preparing maintenance budgets, managing spare parts inventory, and driving cost-effective procurement strategies;
- Enhancing mill automation systems to boost operational performance;
- Maintaining regular communication with operations and mill management to align on priorities and progress;
- Providing technical input on equipment upgrades, replacements, and long-term investment planning.
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant trade, industrial, or engineering qualifications;
- A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance practices;
- Proven experience managing large-scale, cost-effective maintenance programs in a continuous manufacturing environment;
- Solid working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements;
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and delegate effectively within a team;
- Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail and effective time management;
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality;
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
