About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Driven Decision Maker to join our team at Westpac Group.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for extracting, manipulating and analysing large datasets using Teradata SQL and in-house campaign management tools. They will also develop innovative solutions, build self-service tools and provide actionable insights to empower business partners to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extract, manipulate and analyse data using Teradata SQL and in-house campaign management tools.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Westpac databases, data structures and analytical procedures.
  • Share knowledge with team members to foster collaboration and mutual benefit.
  • Present optimisation results, key findings and improvement suggestions to stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement improvements in analysis, data and campaign processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
What You'll Need
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with large-scale RDBMS (Teradata).
  • Campaign management software experience (SAS MA/MO, Teradata).
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving techniques.
  • Marketing processes and database marketing knowledge.
  • Degree in IT, Maths, Statistics, Econometrics or Marketing Information Systems.
  • 3-5 years' experience in an analytics role.
