Job Summary

We are seeking a Health and Safety Specialist to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta by providing best practice health and safety advice, support and partnering with staff and leaders to embed a culture of safety.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to broaden your experience and share your expertise in health and safety. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to create a safe environment for discussion and reporting by developing relationships and engaging with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering and managing health & safety initiatives across the business.
  • Developing, monitoring and reviewing health & safety procedures and processes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Creating communications and resources for stakeholders to build awareness and understanding of key health and safety risks and issues.
  • Investigating incidents and following up on corrective actions.
  • Working with stakeholders to implement, review and monitor risk management practices.
  • Building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve a safe working environment.
