Job Title: Associate Producer

The role of the Associate Producer is to support the team with content creation, answer open line phone calls, research and write news stories.

This is a key position within our organization, responsible for:

  • Supporting the Executive Producer with content creation and delivery.
  • Developing content ideas, researching, scripting, and editing stories.
  • Cross-checking all material for accuracy and ensuring content is legally sound.
  • Researching and scripting reports for air.
  • Editing and uploading podcasts.
  • Operating and monitoring callers during the live show and ensuring suitability to go on air.
  • Collaborating with the Sales and Promotions teams to commercialize content and introduce new concepts and content ideas.
  • Working with the News and Digital content teams to ensure consistency and creativity among our content.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Producing experience in radio, television, or other news media.
  • Knowledge of news and current affairs.
  • Customer focus and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent phone manner skills.
  • Communication and broadcast-writing skills.
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of media and broadcast law.

We are seeking a candidate who can bring enthusiasm and passion to this role. A degree in Media, Journalism, or similar is beneficial but not required.

A strong social and digital media presence is also advantageous, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
