Leadership Role in Mining Equipment Division

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Workshop Supervisor to lead our Mining Equipment Division. This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong trade experience and proven supervisory skills to step into a key role overseeing people, safety, and performance in a dynamic workshop environment.

The successful candidate will have a trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical, or Fabrication trade, and demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment. They will also have strong knowledge of underground or surface mining equipment, solid budgeting and cost management experience, and experience with Microsoft suite.

The ideal candidate will have a proactive, accountable, and safety-first mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative team-focused approach. A valid driver's licence is essential, with forklift licence and other tickets advantageous. The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and motivating a team of skilled tradespeople
  • Reporting on workshop performance, budgets, and cost control
  • Driving a strong safety culture by overseeing SWMS, pre-starts, and toolbox talks
  • Overseeing fault diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance across a range of diesel-powered mining equipment
  • Managing planned maintenance programs, refurbishments, and component replacement
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in workshop operations
What You Bring:
  • Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical, or Fabrication trade
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment
  • Strong knowledge of underground or surface mining equipment
  • Solid budgeting and cost management experience
  • Experience with Microsoft suite
