Job Description

The successful candidate will join our Pharmacy Department as a Pharmacy Technician, supporting Pharmacists in the preparation, labelling, and dispensing of medications and sterile preparations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance with medication management, stock rotation, and inventory control
  • Performing ward dispensing and charging based on Omnicell activity reports
  • Reconciling scripts owing and assisting with claims preparation
  • Managing drug returns from wards/units and maintaining accurate records

In addition to these duties, you will also be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the department, including decontaminating equipment and testing for microbiological contaminants.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or hospital setting (training provided)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict standards of customer service
  • Strong prioritizing and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Well-developed computer skills and proficiency in relevant software
