Based in the Clinical and Health Sciences unit at the City East campus
- Full-time, continuing position
- Salary: $109,074 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

**About You**

You will have qualifications in Pharmacy, coupled with research experience preferably in pharmacy practice. With a true enthusiasm for teaching and research, you will be involved in guiding pharmacy students through a range of pharmacy practice and clinical placement courses, including practice-based research. You will also have an understanding of the Australian health system, or a comparable system, and the research undertaken in such context.

**About the Role**

This position is responsible for the development, delivery and coordination of courses within the Academic Unit’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and contributing to the Academic Unit’s research agenda. The position will contribute independently and as part of a team to support the Academic Unit’s teaching and research outcomes across the disciplines of pharmacy and to carry out activities to maintain and develop their scholarly, research and/or professional activities.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Develop, coordinate and deliver courses on campus, online or via other appropriate methods
- Provide academic counselling and advice to students in a professional and timely manner
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that course contain quality represents contemporary practice and theory
- Contribute to research and scholarly activity, which results in publications and the presentation of conference papers and seminars
- Actively contribute to Academic Unit and University activities and committees

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- PhD qualification in Pharmacy or other postgraduate training in Pharmacy leading to the award of PhD
- Demonstrated academic experience teaching students engaged in undergraduate or postgraduate Pharmacy programs
- An established early research record or a developing research track record and demonstrated experience in writing for publication
- Demonstrated clinical experience/expertise and understanding of global and national policies and priorities in Pharmacy
- Experience in developing a culture of teaching and learning excellence and in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies
