Learning and Development Role

This position is an exciting opportunity to lead learning and development initiatives at a major Australian tourist destination. As a Workplace Learning & Development Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in creating and delivering training programs to support the growth and success of our staff.

The successful candidate will have experience in learning and development, with a background in the hospitality industry. They will be responsible for refining and implementing a learning and development strategy, developing and delivering training solutions, and managing external training providers.

About the Role

  • Refine and implement a learning and development strategy to meet the needs of the business and staff
  • Develop, deliver and/or organize training solutions to meet industry standards and staff needs
  • Manage and deliver the new employee orientation program
  • Coordinate tasks for the monthly training calendar (distribution, room bookings, catering)
  • Manage and maintain the VLearn platform

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assess ongoing training needs and refine the learning and development strategy
  2. Develop, deliver and/or organize training solutions to meet industry standards and staff needs
  3. Plan the monthly training calendar with the General Manager of People & Culture
  4. Deliver the ARR Orientation program
  5. Coordinate tasks for the monthly training calendar (distribution, room bookings, catering)
  6. Manage and maintain the VLearn platform
  7. Manage external training providers

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience in learning and development, with a background in the hospitality industry
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, with budgeting experience
  • Ability to create and deliver training programs and manage internal and external providers
  • Experience with internal training and collaboration with external stakeholders
