Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at our Kalgoorlie Pump Service Centre.

">

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and inspection of Slurry Pumps, Valves and Hydrocyclones in the Goldfields Region and greater WA mining region.

">

This role involves performing on-site mechanical repairs and inspections, ensuring our operations and workshop repairs can continue efficiently.

">

As a key member of our service team, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve excellent results.

">

Key Responsibilities:

">

* Repair and refurbish used pumps, as well as assemble new pumps in our Kalgoorlie service facility, in accordance with OEM procedures.

">

* Support Metso Pump Trials in field.

">

* Carry out hands-on service work such as adjustments, installation, commissioning and operation of pumps on and off customer sites.

">

* Conduct and/or assist with investigations of customer failures regarding quality, tolerances, specifications and delivered conditions of products.

">

Requirements:

">

* 2+ years' experience in maintenance and/or rebuild/assembly of slurry pumps.

">

* Holding a mechanical trade qualification recognised in Australia.

">

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

">

* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

">

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

">

* Hold a current motor vehicle license and pass random medical and drug tests.

">
