As a Child Protection Counsellor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children and their families. Your support and guidance can help pave the way for a brighter, safer future for those who need it most.

This role involves working autonomously yet being heavily supported by a close-knit team. You will engage with families in their communities, working to keep children safe and to help families heal from trauma.

In this position, you will provide therapy, care coordination, and advocacy for families facing child protection concerns. Our focus is on enhancing safety and parenting capacity, with an emphasis on placement stability, restoration, and family preservation.

Your Expertise Matters

To succeed in this role, you will possess strong therapeutic skills for working with families, be an enthusiastic team player dedicated to supporting vulnerable families who have faced trauma, and have an understanding of child protection, domestic and family violence, and trauma.

  • Level 3 tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in Social Work, Psychology or Clinical Psychology
  • Eligibility or membership with the relevant professional association and/or holds general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Ability to drive in NSW and willingness and ability to travel for work purposes
