Perioperative Scrub Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Team as a Scrub Scout. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe and evidence-based nursing care to patients
  • Supervise and direct nursing team members to deliver patient care
  • Provide education and support to individuals and patients for health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs
  • Lead quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Act as a role model for safe practice
About the Company:

Our hospital is a 189-bed, acute, private hospital facility located at Rankin Park. We have 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. Our cardiac suite includes a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit. We also have a private maternity suite with 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery. Our Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care.

About You:
  • Minimum 2 years' RN experience in Scrub Scout/Perioperative Nursing
  • Authority to Work in Australia (Current)
  • Valid NSW Working with Children check
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
  • Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused

Desirable Criteria: Obtained Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)
