Nursing Professional for Orthopaedics and Surgery

Newcastle Private Hospital is a leading provider of healthcare services in the Newcastle region, seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join its Orthopaedics Ward team on a full-time or part-time basis.
This dynamic role offers a great opportunity for nursing professionals to develop their skills and grow within a supportive team environment. Our hospital has 11 state-of-the-art operating theaters, including a hybrid theater, and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit, providing our nurses with the opportunity to work across various specialties, including Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, and Bariatric care.
About the Role
- Provide acute nursing care to patients in accordance with legislation and best practice standards.
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Supervise, direct, and guide nursing team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Proactively assess perioperative nursing care to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as per local and national policies.
Requirements
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in an acute surgical setting, preferably in Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, or Neurosurgery.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work a seven-day roster, including night duty.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience (estimated annual salary: $75,000 - $110,000).
* This estimate is calculated based on the current nursing Enterprise Agreement between Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses' and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024. - A comprehensive benefits package, including discounted health insurance.
