Perioperative Scrub Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Team as a Scrub Scout. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a supportive team environment.
About the Role- Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing surgery
- Supervise and direct nursing team members to ensure high levels of patient care
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Act as a role model for safe practice and provide education and support to individuals and patients
Newcastle Private Hospital is a 189-bed acute private hospital facility located at Rankin Park. We have 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. Our cardiac suite includes a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit. We also have a private maternity suite and an Oncology Centre providing specialty care for individuals and their families.
About You- Minimum 2 years' RN experience in Scrub Scout/Perioperative Nursing
- Authority to Work in Australia (Current)
- Valid NSW Working with Children check
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
