Job Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled technical professional to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of point-of-sale (POS) systems, including hardware and software.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain POS hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to the POS systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on the POS systems
  • Train staff and customers on the proper use and maintenance of the POS systems
  • Document all support activities and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Work closely with vendors to resolve complex issues or escalate as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support role, preferably with POS systems
  • Strong knowledge of POS hardware and software, including peripherals such as scanners, printers, and cash drawers
  • Familiarity with networking and security concepts related to POS systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
