The Sustainability Specialist will be the technical lead for our emissions inventory, including calculation and management of the Scope 3 emissions inventory.

This role involves ensuring robust and documented data processes to support climate-related disclosures and measurement of progress against targets.

It represents an opportunity to have a real impact on a diverse range of industries across Australia and New Zealand, joining a high-performing passionate team with broad experience and industry expertise in ESG focus areas, including climate-related disclosures.

This is a permanent, full-time role ideally based in the Melbourne Cremorne office with work-from-home flexibility. Other locations may be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and deliver sustainability activities.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders for emissions expertise.
  • Maintain and improve Scope 3 emissions inventory.
  • Ensure data governance and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for data improvement and automation.
  • Participate in emissions assurance engagements.
  • Analyse inventory data for climate action planning.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability, climate, or carbon measurement.
  • A strong understanding and demonstrated experience of Scope 3 measurement.
  • A degree qualified in sustainability, carbon accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A genuine passion for climate solutions.
  • Familiarity with GHG protocol and carbon accounting tools.
