Job Title: Commercial Analyst

About this Role:

  • We are seeking a strategic commercial analyst to join our finance team, supporting the wider financial planning and analysis function.
  • This role involves business partnering with general managers of operations and logistics divisions, providing timely reports and insights.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead key performance indicator reporting for large operational divisions.
  • Making recommendations to support the business based on data, analysis, and insights is a key part of this role.
  • The analyst will contribute to month-end close reporting and analyze all cost elements regarding margin for actual results, forecasts, or budgeted performance.
  • Conducting scenario analysis to evaluate commercial risks and opportunities is also an important responsibility.
  • Analyzing market, competitor, and internal performance data to deliver commercial insights is a critical component of this position.
  • The analyst will prepare and maintain dashboards and reports (including KPIs).

Requirements:

  • A chartered accountant or certified public accountant qualification, or working towards one, is required.
  • Proven experience in a physical product industry, such as retail or FMCG, is essential.
  • Business partnering experience and full profit and loss ownership in past roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in advanced Excel modeling and experience working with large datasets and data manipulation is necessary.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities is critical.
