Job Description

The Paralegal and Executive Support Officer plays a pivotal role in the Legislative Editing and Publishing team.

This position is responsible for providing high-quality support to the Parliamentary Counsel, Deputies, and Executive Officer, ensuring the smooth operation of legislative editing and publishing services.

  • Assist with draft Bills and other legislative instruments, guaranteeing quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Perform editorial checking and proofreading, offering production assistance to ensure draft legislation conforms to standards.
  • Prepare Explanatory Notes, Notices of Motion, and Cabinet materials as directed.
  • Undertake legal research projects and administrative tasks as required.
  • Administer and maintain critical records and systems, liaising with drafting staff and others.
  • Provide direct administrative support to senior officers.
