Senior Subcontracts Specialist Opportunity

Wood is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Subcontracts Specialist to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our expanding Operations team, as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond.

Our Operations business delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry. We enjoy long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent Energy and LNG producers with operations in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

As a Senior Subcontracts Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating subcontracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in industry best practices supply chain principles and techniques.
  • Detailed knowledge of suppliers, commercial evaluations, negotiations, terms and conditions of contract and industry forms of subcontract.
  • Good experience with computer systems (ERM, SAP).
  • Be commercially astute with a solutions mindset and sound management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements.
  • Be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood.
