Wood is seeking a Senior Subcontracting Specialist to join its Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This is an opportunity to join the expanding Operations team, as part of the strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond. Based in Perth CBD, this is a long-term commitment role available on a permanent full-time / part-time (job share) basis.

Wood "Operations" delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry. Wood enjoys long-term partnerships with prominent Energy and LNG producers with operations in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

About the role:

  • Demonstrated experience in industry best practices supply chain principles and techniques.
  • Detailed knowledge of suppliers, commercial evaluations, negotiations, terms and conditions of contract and industry forms of subcontract.
  • Good experience with computer systems (ERM, SAP).
  • Be commercially astute with a "solutions mindset" and sound management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements.
  • Be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood.

What will set you apart is your experience in applying your detailed knowledge of suppliers, commercial evaluations, negotiations, terms and conditions of contracts and industry forms of subcontract, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
