Control Management Specialist

Overview of the role:

We are looking for a skilled Control Management Specialist to contribute to the delivery of our control testing program.

The successful candidate will review and test controls, providing management with a view of control effectiveness and identifying improvement areas.

Key objectives include:

- Providing clarity around best-practice risk culture and driving improved risk maturity for control management.

- Effective relationship management and training to support executives in understanding their risk accountabilities and uplifting knowledge of the control environment.

- Supporting the team to identify and implement cost-effective control strategies, achieving the right balance between risk reduction and cost to implement.

Responsibilities include:

- Contributing to the delivery of the control testing program and supporting subsequent remediation activity.

- Investigating opportunities to identify cost-effective strategies to improve the control environment.

- Advising on the development of new controls during risk profiling exercises, value-chain impacts, projects, and other change initiatives.

Requirements:

- Relevant degree in Business or related field.

- ISO 31000: Risk Management training is desirable.

- Minimum three years' appropriate industry experience in general insurance.

- Minimum one year's experience within Risk or Internal/External Audit-related business area(s).
