Hotel Engineering Manager

Seeking an experienced Hotel Engineering Manager to lead proactive hotel maintenance and upkeep of facilities. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for managing future projects, leading by example, and ensuring lawful building compliance and OH&S and Fire, Life & Safety systems.
As a key member of the engineering team, you will mentor, train, and develop the team. Exceptional communication skills are essential to work effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure lawful building compliance of the hotel as it relates to essential services, fire, life, and safety
- Manage overall maintenance of the hotel, including preventative maintenance, cost control, and contractor liaison
- Complete CAPEX submissions and oversee all CAPEX works relating to maintenance of the hotel
- Lead, motivate, and develop the engineering team
- Monitor and analyze guest feedback related to hotel facilities, ensuring feedback is acted upon, followed up, and corrected
Talent Profile:
- Trade qualification required
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Genuine passion for the hospitality industry and eye for detail
- Previous experience as a Chief Engineer or Maintenance Manager in a 4-5 star hotel environment
- Proven ability to proactively coach and guide team members
