About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Disability Support Worker to join our team at Kirinari Community Services. As a key member of our Complex Care Team, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs of our clients
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients with complex trauma and behavioral support needs
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment that promotes growth and development
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Qualification in Community Services (Cert IV) or equivalent
  • Strong interest in youth work, mental health, and the disability industry
  • Understanding of strength-based trauma-informed practice framework
  • Understanding of the NSW Child Safe Standards
  • Previous experience in residential therapeutic care and complex trauma is highly regarded
  • Ability to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends, and public/school holidays with significant availability
  • Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
  • Ability to obtain a paid NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement
  • Complete a National Criminal History Check (paid by Kirinari)
  • Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
  • Smart Phone
  • Current Driver's Licence
