Program Management Office Lead

About the Role:
Mercer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Management Office Lead to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee program standards, tools, processes, and quality control for remediation plan design and delivery.
- Orchestrate prioritization of Hub resources to support program and stream delivery.
- Develop and implement program governance standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent and effective program management practices.
- Collaborate with program stakeholders to develop comprehensive program plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate and optimize allocation of program resources, including budget, personnel, and technology, to support program delivery.
- Develop, manage, and own 3 work packages as part of Remediation Plan deliverables; Program Charter, Resourcing, and Project Assurance Framework.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, project teams, and external partners, to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and support for the program.
- Proactive engagement and respond to needs of Program Director and Executive stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, proactively addressing challenges and ensuring timely resolution to minimize impact on program outcomes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, preferably within financial services.
- Experience in Regulatory Remediation Plans (preferable).
- Experience in program management, with a focus on PMO leadership, preferably in a complex and dynamic organisational environment. Experience in leading large-scale transformation programs is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in establishing and leading PMOs, with a deep understanding of program management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
