Sustainability Expert, Built Environment Innovator

The John Lewis Partnership seeks an experienced Sustainability Manager to join its Technical Services Team. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the company's goal of achieving net-zero by 2035.
This permanent position offers a salary range of £52,800 - £84,300 and comes with excellent benefits, including hybrid working arrangements, a defined contribution pension scheme, and health care cover.
About the RoleAs a key member of the Technical Services Team, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of the Responsible Property Framework (RPF) that ensures JLP's physical estate is sustainable and meets net-zero targets.
You will assess and address climate risks across JLP's built environment, monitor and enhance indoor environment quality, and engage with project teams and stakeholders to ensure best-in-class delivery.
This role requires a strong understanding of sustainability principles, business strategy skills, influencing and negotiating skills, and communication of complex data to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Drive the implementation of RPF and evolve it to meet JLP's aspirations and sustainability goals.
- Assess and address climate risks across JLP's built environment.
- Monitor and enhance indoor environment quality.
- Engage with project teams and stakeholders to ensure best-in-class delivery.
- Degree in sustainability or engineering discipline.
- Business strategy skills.
