Citywide Service Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Horticultural Manager to join our team in Melbourne's CBD. As a key member of our open space contract, you will be responsible for maintaining some of the City's most iconic parks and gardens.
Key Responsibilities- Plant Selection and Maintenance: Ensure the health and vitality of plants in our gardens, including selection, pruning, and mulching.
- Garden Bed Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain garden beds, including weeding, watering, and irrigation management.
- Machinery Operation and Maintenance: Safely operate and maintain various horticultural machinery, including tractors, mowers, and pruning equipment.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of gardeners, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks.
- Safety and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential safety risks, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Qualifications: Certificate 3 or 4 in Horticulture or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of horticultural practices and principles.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current Victorian Drivers Licence, MR Licence (desirable), and Cert 3 Chemical User.
- Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
