Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our KinCare team in the Tweed Heads region. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our elderly customers to live independently at home.

Salary Information

The successful candidate will be rewarded with an award rate of $38.26 per hour, plus superannuation and paid kilometers. This competitive salary reflects the importance of your role in providing quality care to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Home Care Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing domestic assistance to our customers, including cleaning their homes to ensure they have a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping to help our customers maintain their independence.
  • Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers to stay engaged and connected with their community.
  • Personal care services, including getting our customers up, showered, and dressed for the day, as well as assisting with medication management and mobility therapy goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least 6 months of experience working in a similar role, including personal care experience.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, as travel is a key aspect of this role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems.
