We're looking for a Lead Contract Negotiator to join our team based in North Ryde office. Reporting to the ANZ Legal Director, you'll be accountable for leading contract negotiations and providing expertise for bids, tenders, and legal issues arising with customers, partners, and subcontractors across Alstom's major transport and infrastructure projects.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts with an acceptable level of risk
  • Leading front-end activities and providing expert advice on construction and contract law
  • Supporting the business in reviewing and submitting contracts and tender documentation
  • Providing general legal counsel and corporate governance support

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws degree and Australian practicing certificate
  • Understanding of public tenders and Public Private Partnership (PPP) agreements
  • Senior legal professional with experience in tender/bid phase of complex projects
  • Strong commercial acumen and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience as a lawyer in-house or private practice within the infrastructure, engineering, or construction sector
