Emergency Department Nurse

Collarcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Short Stay Unit and Emergency Department in NSW. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in both the short stay and emergency settings.
About the Role- Assess and triage patients in the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit.
- Provide immediate and effective care for a range of acute medical conditions and emergencies.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical conditions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment options, and follow-up care.
- Document all patient interactions and care accurately.
- Collaborate with doctors, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for patient care.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Triage experience and/or certification.
- Current National Police Check.
- NDIS Clearance/Willingsness to Obtain.
- ALS, BLS, and PALS Certification.
- 1 year of experience working in an Australian Health Setting.
- Previous experience in emergency care or a similar high-pressure medical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of emergency and acute care nursing practices.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Regional Contracts & Ad-hoc shifts available.
