We are seeking an experienced Spinal Medicine expert to join our team as a Spinal Fellow. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of future specialists in the field.

The successful candidate will have expertise in spinal surgery and neurosurgery, with a proven track record of providing exceptional clinical skills and leadership. You will be responsible for mentoring and supervising junior staff, managing patient care, and demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role:

You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement clinical review programs aimed at improving quality assurance across the unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of future specialists in spinal medicine.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff to ensure they uphold the highest standards of patient care.
  • Manage patient care and demonstrate strong clinical skills within a neurosurgical department.
  • Participate in after-hours rosters and contribute to the postgraduate teaching program.

Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification with postgraduate training in Spinal Surgery or Neurosurgery.
  • Eligibility for AHPRA registration.
  • Proven ability to supervise junior staff, manage patient care, and demonstrate strong clinical skills within a neurosurgical department.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of hospital systems, policies, and procedures.
