Senior Pharmacist Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated pharmacist to join our team as a Senior Pharmacist.
- This is a leadership role that involves the management of pharmacy services, supervision of staff, and provision of expert medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other health professionals.
- The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in complex environments.
About the Role
The General Medicine Inpatient Unit at Noarlunga Hospital is launching a brand new purpose-built facility. As a Senior Pharmacist, you will play a key role in the organisation, management, and operation of the designated pharmacy area, delivering a comprehensive range of pharmacy services.
- You will be responsible for exercising independent and autonomous professional judgement to ensure the safe, effective, and cost-conscious use of pharmaceuticals.
- You will also supervise and support the day-to-day work of permanent and rotational staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Your Responsibilities
The Senior Pharmacist will:
- Provide expert medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other health professionals.
- Exercise independent and autonomous professional judgement to ensure the safe, effective, and cost-conscious use of pharmaceuticals.
- Supervise and support the day-to-day work of permanent and rotational staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated pharmacist who demonstrates leadership expertise and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy qualified and registered (or eligible) with the Pharmacy Board.
- Proven leadership experience in hospital pharmacy and supervising teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and research skills in complex environments.
