Job Summary

The Department of Justice TAS is seeking a highly skilled Business Improvement Specialist to drive business improvements within Corporate Services. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for analysing processes, managing projects, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Analysis: Undertake complex business process mapping of current and future processes of the branches within the Corporate Services portfolio.
  • Improvement Initiatives: Analyse existing processes and systems for issues and opportunities for improvements in accordance with business strategy, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Project Management: Manage projects in relation to business process re-engineering, systems enhancement, and change management.
  • Policy Development: Develop policy and prepare high-level documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, test scripts, flow charts, business cases, and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain productive relationships and strong communication links with key internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience in managing projects related to business process re-engineering, systems enhancement, and change management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders and present recommendations.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business strategy, risk, and compliance requirements.
