**Job Overview**:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our team at one of the top trauma centres in the state. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services and clinical leadership.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide vital supervision, support and education to senior medical practitioners, trainee medical officers, medical students in the unit, as well as other staff training
  • Work collaboratively with a fantastic team of highly regarded FACEMs/PEMs who have a depth of expertise in trauma, paediatrics, research, well-being, leadership and training
  • Participate in and contribute to the academic life of the Emergency Department by conducting research, participating in research discussions and contributing to the supervision of postgraduate students

**Requirements**:

- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent

The emergency department is open 24 hours, seven days a week and is one of the busiest in South Australia, with approximately 85,000 - 90,000 attendances per year from newborn to geriatrics.
