As a Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will play a pivotal role in empowering clients to regain their independence and achieve their goals. This rewarding career path involves providing exceptional customer care while designing and implementing programs to assist clients in returning to the workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute targeted interventions to facilitate clients' transition into employment
- Conduct comprehensive vocational assessments, initial needs assessments, and worksite evaluations to identify areas for improvement
- Deliver personalized vocational counselling and intensive 1:1 support to empower clients to overcome barriers and achieve success
- Identify and address Return to Work (RTW) obstacles through collaboration with clients, insurers, medical practitioners, and employers
- A recognised degree qualification in Psychology or a related field, accompanied by AHPRA accreditation or qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling and professional registration with a relevant body
- Ability to travel with a current vehicle and driver's licence, ensuring flexibility and adaptability
- Strong time management and organisational skills, allowing for efficient prioritisation and task completion
