Manager, First Nations Engagement
Key Role Summary:The Manager of First Nations Engagement will build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, stakeholders, and organizations.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop strategies for respectful engagement with Indigenous communities.
- Facilitate partnerships between our organization and Indigenous groups to promote mutual understanding and collaboration.
- Coordinate events, workshops, and initiatives that support reconciliation efforts.
- Advocate for Indigenous rights within the organization and externally.
- Provide cultural competency training for staff members.
- Bachelor's degree in Indigenous studies, social work, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar role.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing reconciliation efforts.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to Indigenous rights.
- Ability to travel occasionally for meetings or events.
This is a full-time position based in Australia. We encourage applications from individuals who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
