Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and analytical professional to deliver advanced modelling and financial insights that drive our strategic planning, budgeting, and decision-making.

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure our long-term financial forecasts are robust, accurate, and aligned with our priorities.

You will also play a key role in uplifting capability within our Financial Planning Unit by mentoring team members and sharing your expertise.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Accounting (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality financial modelling and analysis in Local Government or a similarly complex and regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and compliance requirements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial modelling tools and systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
