Job Summary:

Motorserve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead our Panel Shop team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient allocation of repairs, maintaining a safe work environment, and driving productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of skilled tradespeople to achieve exceptional results and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Repair Allocation: Manage the allocation of repairs to ensure that they are completed efficiently and effectively, taking into account the size and severity of the job.
  • Production Management: Oversee the production process to ensure that all work areas, tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) are in good condition and meet safety standards.
  • Reporting and Communication: Ensure that all production staff update the status of completed jobs in the system applications and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the cluster manager.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Panel Beater and/or Spray Painter with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on industry experience.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized and able to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork and Communication: A team player with a can-do attitude who helps create an effective working environment and communicates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and Innovation: Willingness to utilize new processes and technology solutions to improve performance outcomes and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Empathetic change enabler who thrives on encouraging collaboration between internal and external stakeholders and leads by example.
