About the Role

The Workday Functional Specialist at John Holland is responsible for configuring and customizing the Workday system for finance modules, troubleshooting issues, providing training and support to finance users, and contributing to system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and customize the Workday system for finance modules to meet specific requirements.
  • Work closely with finance stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and identify system gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement effective Workday solutions to meet finance department needs.
  • Test and quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and functionality of the Workday system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to finance modules in Workday.
  • Provide training and support to finance users on Workday system usage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide ongoing support of the Workday finance system.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of the Workday platform, particularly in finance modules.
  • Knowledge of finance business processes, financial reporting, budgeting, procurement, and expense management within Workday.
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Experience in configuring and customizing Workday to meet specific finance system requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze complex finance system requirements and propose effective solutions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with stakeholders.
