School-based Traineeships offer a unique chance for Year 10 students to gain valuable work experience and skills in the plumbing industry. As a School-based Trainee at the Plumbing Bankstown branch, you will have the opportunity to work towards a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations. This role involves working alongside experienced staff, completing certificate requirements, and processing sales and stock management tasks. You will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service, communicating effectively with customers and staff, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the branch.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to follow instructions accurately. You should also be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is willing to learn and take on new challenges. Teamwork and a positive attitude are essential, as well as a willingness to maintain a neat and tidy workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing sales and managing stock

The estimated salary for this role is around $50,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards. Students will be required to work the equivalent of one and a half days per week, with additional hours available during school holidays. Saturday availability is also a requirement for this position.
