Special Counsel in Litigation & Dispute Resolution

We are seeking an experienced Special Counsel to join our dynamic team and play a key role in handling international and cross-border matters. As a Special Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice, conducting defense work, and appearing in court.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial Litigation Management: Manage commercial litigation in the Supreme, Federal Court, and Court of Appeal.
  • Defense Work and Advice: Advise and conduct defense work for clients.
  • Insurance Claims Recovery: Assist corporate policyholders with insurance claims recovery.
  • Policyholder Guidance: Guide policyholders on insurance policies and wording.
  • Business Development and Client Engagement: Participate in business development, client meetings, pitches, and marketing.
  • Clerkship and Mentorship: Mentor and develop colleagues through training and supervision.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to firm learning resources and precedents, assist with financial management, estimates, invoices, and fee collection. The ideal candidate should have experience in commercial litigation, preferably with insurance litigation or coverage, and be comfortable with technical work outside their specialty. Candidates with professional negligence experience are encouraged to apply. A minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in commercial litigation is preferred.
