Electrical Design Specialist

Mayfield Industries, a leading engineering and manufacturing company in Australia, is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the design department, you will be responsible for creating innovative electrical switch room designs that meet our clients' complex specifications and standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, with experience in CAD design tools such as Solidworks or Revit. They will also possess excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with technical and engineering teams to deliver proactive and innovative functional solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and draft electrical switch rooms, skids, and other products associated with switchrooms using CAD software.
  • Transform client specifications and standards into user-friendly world-class solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to develop feasible solutions.
  • Undertake feasibility studies, surveys, and reports, design layouts, specifications, bills of quantities, materials lists, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct factory inspections and liaise with suppliers, clients, or engineers concerning the design, installation, construction, and commissioning of assigned work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum two years post-graduate experience in relevant industry sectors.
  • Strong 3D CAD understanding, preferably with Solidworks experience.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Monday to Friday schedule.
