Job Overview

Community supervision is a vital component of the criminal justice system, focusing on reducing recidivism and promoting positive behavioral changes. With approximately 18,000 individuals under supervision, Community Corrections aims to protect the community and foster growth.

The organization operates through seven regional divisions, encompassing 34 district offices and 133 reporting centers. This framework enables efficient management, support for staff, and effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative support includes diary management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
  • Staff assistance encompasses administrative tasks such as preparing memorandums, reports, and correspondence.
  • Opening and closing procedures ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Human Resources functions include timesheet reviews and leave form submissions.
  • Training is provided to administrative staff on office systems.
  • Procurement and financial processing duties involve banking, petty cash management, and supplies acquisition.
  • Correspondence management, including mail registers, is also essential.
  • Liaison with internal and external agencies is required as needed.
  • Maintenance of facilities and equipment, including stocktakes and asset register management, is crucial.
  • Confidentiality and security of files and documents are paramount, with controlled access granted to relevant staff and approved agencies.
  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate statistics in the Integrated Offender Management System (IOMS) is a key responsibility.

This role provides the minimum requirements for success, and the incumbent may be tasked with additional duties beyond primary accountabilities.
