Caregiver Role Overview

A reputable aged care organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled caregiver to provide high-quality support to residents in their facilities. As part of the caregiving team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals and maintain accurate records.
  • Health Monitoring: Regularly observe and document residents' vital signs, symptoms, and any changes in their health condition.
  • Wound Care: Provide basic wound care and dressings for residents with minor wounds.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Conduct thorough health assessments and report any significant changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare team.

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aged care standards and guidelines
  • Adaptability, passion for delivering exceptional care, and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with colleagues and residents
