Fabrication Supervisor

The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing fabrication teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of tradespeople, apprentices, and trades assistants to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.
  • Ensure that all products leaving the workshop meet the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Workshop Manager to ensure workflow and production targets are met.
  • Effectively allocate staff and resources to meet product manufacture deadlines.
  • Provide clear instructions to employees and coach them to develop their skills as Boilermakers.
  • Oversee apprentice training and maintain safe work areas and practices.
  • Manage equipment and machinery, fostering a positive team culture.
  • Monitor employee performance, including day-to-day and formal reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification as a Boilermaker Welder.
  • Manual driver's license and forklift license.
  • Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship experience in a fabrication workshop.
  • Effective people skills and ability to manage performance.
  • Ability to learn and implement new knowledge, identify improvements, and work efficiently.
