Early Childhood Leadership Role

The position of Assistant Director at a well-established early learning service presents an exceptional opportunity for professional growth and contribution to high-quality education.

This leadership role offers the chance to oversee overall management, foster a culture of excellence, and drive continuous improvement.

About the Role
  • Support and manage centre operations, ensuring alignment with EYLF and organizational standards
  • Lead educators in curriculum development, assessments, and professional growth aligned with QIP goals
  • Promote regulatory compliance, best practice, and collaborative relationships with families and the community
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for operational areas, ensuring seamless continuity in the Director's absence
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
  • At least 1 year in a senior role (e.g., Room Leader or Assistant Director)
  • Strong knowledge of NQF, National Law & Regulations, EYLF
  • Proven leadership, mentorship, and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence to act as Responsible Person and support all operational areas
  • Current First Aid, CPR, WWCC (Ochre Card), and accredited Child Protection training
