As a Cost Assurance professional, you will be responsible for undertaking qualitative and quantitative cost assurance activities across both pre-approved and approved cost modelling activities against a range of projects/programs to support business-as-usual reporting and Gate approaches.

This role is based in Canberra, ACT.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake cost assurance activities across various functions
  • Synthesise information and extract strategic level briefing knowledge from qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Prepare executive governance briefings in accordance with Defence policies and procedures
  • Lead or coordinate monthly governance and reporting
  • Identify and implement mitigation strategies to manage risks, issues, and opportunities relating to governance of programmatic objectives
  • Other relevant tasks as required relating to program delivery of capability acquisition and sustainment

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience
  • Experience in a CASG/Defence environment
  • Previous experience with Defence governance and assurance platforms (PPRIP, MRM)
  • Strong understanding of Defence systems (financial, budget, capability requirements deliver plans)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
