Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

This is a key role in the Defence sector requiring a Mechanical Fitter to support the NQLD region with occasional travel to other sites in Queensland.

  • The successful candidate will be part of a core crew of UGL technicians working on fuel installation assets and related equipment.
  • This involves performing scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment, diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment, project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment, and supporting various sites in the region, with occasional travel to sites throughout Queensland.

To succeed in this role, you will require trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience, proven experience in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas, experience in defence fuels network or defence industry is highly regarded, confined space and working at heights tickets are highly regarded, and a safety conscious mindset.
