Job Overview

This is a key opportunity in the Defence sector based in Townsville, supporting the Queensland region with occasional travel to other sites in Australia.

We are seeking a skilled technician to support the Australian Defence Force across 100 locations nationwide, delivering operations and maintenance, asset management and fuel supply services.

You will be part of a core crew of UGL technicians working on fuel installation assets and related equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
  • Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
  • Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
  • Support subcontracted work packages as required
  • Support various sites in the region, with occasional travel to sites throughout Australia
Requirements
  • Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience
  • Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
  • Experience in defence fuels network or defence industry is highly regarded
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets are highly regarded
  • Safety conscious mindset
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, appropriate Defence Security Clearance
