Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Case Worker Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Worker to join our team at Pinangba, an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led service delivery arm of UnitingCare. As a Case Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our residents.

Job Description:
  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments of clients' drug and alcohol needs.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that cater to individual client needs.
  • Provide advocacy and support for clients who require assistance from external agencies.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

A day in the life of a Case Worker at Pinangba will involve conducting thorough assessments, developing tailored treatment plans, and providing ongoing support to clients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certification IV in Community Services or Social Emotional Wellbeing is desirable.
  • Previous experience in case management, preferably within a similar service.
  • Current Open QLD drivers' license.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social, health, and cultural issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety principles.
