Enhancing community safety through specialist services is the primary goal of this role.

The Principal Practitioner will be responsible for conducting and leading various forensic assessments, reports, and interventions for high harm/complex needs offenders. This will include case formulation, evidence-based intervention, and advice on operational case management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing administration, scoring, and interpretation of validated assessment tools to inform structured professional judgement
  • Providing quality, accurate, and timely information to stakeholders on offender's risk and harm
  • Engaging in evidence-based best practice case formulation, assessment, reporting, and interventions for high harm/complex needs offenders
  • Managing an ongoing and long-term case load of offenders
  • Referring offenders to appropriate allied health professionals and/or service providers

The Principal Practitioner will support, mentor, and supervise senior practitioners in their professional and operational development within the organization.
