Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and values-driven individual to lead our emergency relief program in Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering assessment and distribution, managing the workforce, and building relationships with local stakeholders.

About You
  • You will have a degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. This is crucial as you will be working closely with individuals who experience trauma and/or exhibit multiple complex service needs and/or are chronically disadvantaged.
  • Relevant experience working in the community services sector, including team management and conflict resolution. Your ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behavior will be vital in this role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver emergency services at a face-to-face site and a cluster of local sites. Building trust with the community will be essential.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the organization and with local community stakeholders. Your communication skills will be key in this area.
  • Oversee the delivery of emergency services on site, leading a team of Case Workers and volunteers. Providing guidance and support to your team will be critical in ensuring the success of the program.
  • Coordinate onsite material aid and distribution across the area as required. Your ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure will be necessary.
